The stage starts in the town of A Guarda. Leaving the village there is an area that is difficult for bicycles to pass through, so it is necessary to get off the bike.

The Portuguese Way is impressive for its views. The sea and the wind are strong against the coast. This stage combines coastal areas with inland areas, as you move away from the sea there are some hills that make you sweat, but the effort is worth it as you end up making a nice descent to the town of Baiona.

The profile towards Vigo gets a little tougher and runs inland. You cross villages and small towns until you reach the city of Vigo, where the signposting is very poor.
