Stage 2, The Cantabrian Natural Way
In this second stage we leave Bares behind and arrive at the beautiful fishing village of O Barqueiro, cross the bridge over the river Lor to leave the province of A Coruña and enter the Mariña Lucense.
O Vicedo presents itself with its beach of calm waters ‘Arealonga’ and you can walk along paths and tracks until you reach one of the most beautiful beaches in the area, the beach of Xilloi. This beach surprises with its crystal clear waters and fine white sand. Before arriving in Viveiro, capital of the Western Mariña, the route continues along well-marked cycle paths that lead to coves, beaches and charming places, such as the viewpoint of ‘O Fuciño do Porco’, where you have to leave your bike at the entrance to walk along the wooden walkway with all its stairs. Once in Viveiro you can enjoy all its offer, both cultural and gastronomic, and its historic centre, which was declared a historic-artistic site.
