Stage 3, The French Way

At the exit of Pamplona begins the ascent to the Alto del Perdón, the only climb which is quite hard, especially the last two km. At the top there is a sculpture of pilgrims which says ‘Alto de El Perdón, where the Camino del Viento meets the Camino de las Estrellas’. The descent is totally cyclable but it is important to descend with caution due to the amount of loose stones.

The stage runs smoothly to Estella, passing over the Puente de la Reina bridge, Roman roads and small climbs and descents.
