Rental Conditions

Bicycle rental is a service provided by VELAIBIKE S.L. VAT number: B02761252. VELAIBIKE S.L.. owns the bicycles for rent, as well as the provided equipmet, which are detailed in this rental agreement.

1. The person or entity interested in using the rental service, hereinafter referred to as the user, is responsible  for the care and return of the bicycle, along with all the accessories listed below, and agrees to pay the corresponding fees for the components as stated in clause 7 of this agreement.

* Waterproof panniers: €150

* Rear rack: €50

* Puncture proof inner tube €9.5€ / Set of tire levers: €3

* Lock: €22

* Frame dropout: €20

* Tool backpack: €20

* Air pump: €15

2. The bicycles, and if applicable, the rented accessories, are fully homologated, comply with all safety measures, and meet the required commercial guarantees. They must be returned in the same condition as when they rented. The user is responsible for any damage caused.

3. The user is obliged to properly monitor and protect the bicycles when they are not in sight.

4. In case of theft, robbery, misappropriation, destruction, or damage to the bicycle and its accessories, the user must report the incident to the authorities and provide a copy of the police report to the company within 24 hours of becoming aware of the incident.

5. In case of theft, robbery, misappropriation, or failure to return the bicycle, the company reserves the right to charge the full value of the bicycle and the rented accessories.

6. If there is theft, robbery, misappropriation, loss, or damage to the equipment, the user is obligated to pay the company the total amount for the stolen or damaged material.

7. The value of the different accessories is as follows: brake levers: €150, saddle: €55, rear wheel: €125, front wheel: €100, brakes: €30, pedals:€55, seatpost: €30. The rest of the components are priced according to the brand’s tariff. In case of theft, robbery, or misappropriation of the bicycle, the value will be the replacement cost.

8. Delay in returning the bicycle(s) will result in the payment of the corresponding fee for the total time in which the bicycle is available to the user, with delays being counted as full days.

9. A credit card is required to provide a deposit of €200 for each bicycle rental. The deposit will be refunded within 72 hours after the return of the bicycle in the same condition it wes rented. The deposit is intended to cover any damages, losses, or damages to the bicycle and rented accessories. The rental fee and deposit must be paid in full in advance at the time of rental, either by credit card or bank transfer.

10. By signing this contract, the user expressly authorizes the company to charge their credit card for the amount of damages suffered by the bicycles, as well as the amount corresonding to the damage or loss accoridng to the values specified in clause 7.

11. if the company needs to make use of this guarantee, the corresponding charge will be made, deducting the deposit provided.

12. The bicycle user agrees to comply with the current traffic laws and regulation and is responsible for any damage caused as a result of any accidents during the use of the bicycle. Additionaly, the company is not responsible for any fines or penalties resulting from any violations of these laws.

13. The user acknowledges the risks involved in riding a bicycle and is solely responsible for any damage caused to themselves, third parties, or any property, movable or immovable, as a result of the normal or abnormal use of the bicycles.

14. The company is not responsible for any claims for bodily or material damages caused to the user, third parties, or their property.

15. Roadside assistance is provided in case of breakdowns (excluding punctures) on weekdays from Monday to Saturday at noon. Please contact Bicips.com (Tfno: 604 07 01 81).

16. The use of bicycles on the beach is not allowed. Damages or defects cauded by sand will incur an addtional charge of €200.

17. The courts of Mondoñedo (Lugo) are designated for the resolution of any disputes or conficts arising from the application of this agreement.

18. In case of complaints or claims, the user may fill out the provided form on our website.

19. This contract complies with and respects all the rights of consummers and users in accordance with the applicalbe Spanish legislation, Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, approving the revised text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users.

CANCELLALTION POLICY:  The customer has the right to request the cancellation of ther service up to 10 days before the start of the rental period, The full amount will be refunded  by sending an email to calm apologize, but it seems that the text got cut off after by sending an email to caminosen@bicips.com.

(1) SAFETY USAGE

1. Respect all traffic regulations and local traffic laws.

2. Respect the rights of individuals with whom you share the road or path: motorist, pedestrians, and other cyclists.

3. Ride defensively: always assume that others cannot see you.

4. Lood ahead and be prepared to avoid:

• Vehicles braking or turning, entering the road or your lane ahead of you, or coming from behind you.

• Opening car doors of parked vehicles.

• Pedestrians starting to move.

• Children or pets playing near the road.

• Potholes, manhole covers, railroad tracks, expansion joints, road or sidewalk construction, debris, and other obstacles that could cause you to swerve abruplty into other vehicles, tripo over the wheel, or have an accident.

• The many hazards and distractions that can occur during a bike ride.

5. Use designated bike lanes, bike-specific paths, or ride as close as possible to the edge of the road, in the direction of traffic or as indicated by local laws.

6. Stop at stop signs and traffic lights; reduce speed and look both ways at intersections. Remember that a bicycle always loses in a collision with a motor vehicle, so be prepared to yield even if you have the right of way.

7. Use approved hand signals to indicate turns and stops.

8. Never ride with headphones, as they can obscure traffic sounds and emergency sirens, prevent you from focusiing on your surrondings, and their cables can become entangled in the moving parts of the bicycle, causing you to lose control.

9. Never carry a passenger.

10. Do not transport anything that obstruct your vision or hinders full control of the bicycle, or that could become entangled in the moving parts of the bicycle.

11. Never hold into another vehicle to avoid pedaling.

12. Do not perform stunts, wheelies, or jumps. Assess your abilities well before deciding to take on the significant risks associated with this type of bicycle use.

13. Do not weave through traffic or make movements that may surprise people sharing the road with you.

14. Respect right-of-way-rules.

15. Never ride a bicycle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

16. If possible, avoid riding a bicycle in bad weather, reduced visibility, at dawn, dusk, or at night, or when you are very tired. All of these situations incrase the risk of an accident.
